Praj HiPurity

Purified-water, water for injection (WFI), RO, EDI, storage and distribution solutions.

Praj HiPurity Systems designs and supplies pharmaceutical-grade water and process utility systems — treating the plant water requirement as one continuous journey from raw water to point of use rather than a catalogue of standalone units. Delta Flow Tech supports Indian pharma and biotech plants across this journey with requirement capture, technical coordination, supply support and agreed site and lifecycle assistance. Final engineering, qualification and validation responsibilities remain qualified per project.

DFT's role

DFT's role on a Praj HiPurity water system is requirement capture, technical coordination with Praj HiPurity, supply support and agreed site and lifecycle assistance. Final engineering, qualification and validation responsibilities are confirmed per project.

Coordinated work areas

A single water-system journey

Praj HiPurity structures a pharmaceutical water system as five coordinated work areas. Reviewing them together — rather than unit by unit — keeps feed-water quality, generation, storage and distribution consistent with the final point-of-use specification.

Connected treatment journey

From incoming water to the final utility point

Each stage informs the next, so the system is reviewed as one coordinated flow.

  1. 1

Raw Water to Point of Use

Define the incoming-water and point-of-use basis.

  2. 2

    Pre-treatment

    Condition the feed before purification.

  3. 3

    Purified Water Generation

Generate purified water at the agreed grade.

  4. 4

    Storage & Distribution

Preserve quality through storage and recirculation.

  5. 5

    WFI & Pure Steam Generation

Provide WFI and pure steam where the process requires it.

DFT supports requirement capture and technical coordination across this workflow; final engineering, qualification and validation are confirmed per project.
1

Raw Water to Point of Use

The end-to-end view: assessing incoming raw water and defining the treatment train needed to reach the final point-of-use specification. Setting this basis first avoids under- or over-designing the individual stages.

Practical selection inputs
  • Raw-water source & full analysis (TDS, hardness, silica, chlorides, microbial)
  • Target water grade (PW / WFI / utility)
  • Peak & average demand (LPH)
  • Number and type of user points
  • Applicable pharmacopoeia (USP / EP / IP)
DFT: DFT captures the raw-water analysis and demand profile and coordinates the overall treatment basis with Praj HiPurity.
2

Pre-treatment

Feed-water conditioning and microbial control ahead of purification — multi-grade / disc filtration, softening, dechlorination, ultra-filtration and, where required, nano-filtration or a first RO pass — sized to protect the downstream membranes.

Practical selection inputs
  • Feed hardness & silica
  • Free chlorine / oxidant load
  • Suspended solids & turbidity (NTU)
  • Required feed quality to RO
  • Regeneration / backwash utility availability
DFT: DFT helps define the pre-treatment train against the raw-water analysis and downstream membrane-protection requirements.
3

Purified Water Generation

USP/EP-compliant PW generation — typically hot-water-sanitisable reverse osmosis combined with EDI in skid-mounted, zero-dead-leg configurations that hold sanitary conditions and consistent conductivity.

Practical selection inputs
  • Required flow (LPH) & recovery target
  • Feed conductivity & temperature
  • Sanitisation method (hot water / ozone)
  • Conductivity & TOC limits
  • Redundancy (single vs double pass, N+1)
DFT: DFT coordinates PW generation sizing, sanitisation strategy and documentation scope with Praj HiPurity.
4

Storage & Distribution

Holding generated water at grade from the generation outlet to every user point — sanitary storage tanks and 24/7 recirculating loops with hot-water (85 °C), pure-steam (121 °C) or ozone sanitisation, in SS316L electropolished tube with full traceability.

Practical selection inputs
  • Storage volume & buffer strategy
  • Loop flow / return velocity (≥ 1 m/s)
  • Number & distance of user points
  • Sanitisation method & frequency
  • Surface finish (Ra) & slope / drainability
DFT: DFT supports the loop concept, sanitisation approach and material / traceability requirements alongside Praj HiPurity.
5

WFI & Pure Steam Generation

Water for Injection and pure steam — standalone or 'Combi' distillation units (designed with Aqua-Nova) that produce WFI and pure steam together, with proportionate output regulation, faster start-up and 15–20 % higher pure-steam output for sterilisation cycles.

Practical selection inputs
  • WFI demand (LPH) & temperature (hot / cold)
  • Pure-steam demand (kg/h) & pressure
  • Feed-water source (PW)
  • Plant steam availability
  • Peak sterilisation load
DFT: DFT coordinates WFI / pure-steam selection, capacity split and utility interfaces with Praj HiPurity.
