Ammonia Condenser / Chiller
Spares selection for semi-welded plate heat exchangers used in ammonia condenser and chiller duties. Use the supplied cassette drawing as a reference; confirm the installed unit before selecting replacements.
Ammonia Condenser / Chiller service selection

| Pos. | Component | Selection notes |
|---|---|---|
| — | Field gaskets | Match the gasketed channel and installed profile |
| — | Ring gaskets | Confirm refrigerant and lubricant compatibility |
| — | First and last plate components | Identify the unit-specific end arrangement |
| — | Semi-welded cassettes | Match plate specification and pack configuration |
| — | Frame and tightening components | Confirm against the installed assembly drawing |
Confirm exact components with the equipment record. The illustrated arrangement does not apply to every ammonia condenser or chiller.

Cassette and plate identification
Semi-welded units combine welded plate pairs with gasketed channels. Match replacement cassettes and end plates to the serial number and plate arrangement drawing, not appearance alone.
Gasket compatibility
Field and ring gaskets have different functions. Confirm the required profile and material against the refrigerant, lubricant, secondary fluid and operating conditions. Do not assume standard PHE gaskets are interchangeable.
What to send DFT
Provide the model, serial number, nameplate photograph, cassette count and arrangement drawing. Include the duty, refrigerant and oil details, secondary fluid, temperatures, pressures and observed symptoms.
Specialist service planning
Ammonia equipment requires qualified refrigeration personnel. Follow the unit-specific manual and site isolation, refrigerant-handling and return-to-service procedures. This checklist is for identification, not dismantling instructions.
