Butterfly Valve + Actuator
For Alfa Laval LKB butterfly valves, distinguish the valve service kit from the pneumatic actuator kit. The product seal and supporting bushes serve a different duty from actuator seals and bearings.
LKB butterfly valve service components

Position labels correspond to the component listing.
| Pos. | Component | Selection notes |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | Seal ring | Product-contact seal; match size and elastomer |
| 3, 4 | Bushes | Support the valve-disc stem |
| 2 | Valve disc | Inspect stem and seal-contact surfaces |
| 1 | Valve body halves | Inspect condition during service |
| 6 | Body fasteners | Confirm condition and assembly requirements |
The supplied reference covers LKB ISO valve sizes 25, 38, 51, 63.5, 76 and 101.6 mm. Confirm the installed standard and elastomer before requesting a kit.

Position labels correspond to the component listing.
| Pos. | Component | Selection notes |
|---|---|---|
| 5, 7 | O-rings | NBR in the supplied reference |
| 10, 11 | Needle bearings | Actuator bearing components |
| 12 | Thrust bearing | Axial bearing component |
| 15, 20 | O-rings | NBR in the supplied reference |
These components follow the actuator table in the supplied reference. Confirm actuator model and action before selection. Follow the manufacturer's procedure for stored spring energy.

Valve seal and bushes
The supplied reference identifies a seal ring and bushes as butterfly-valve service components. Match the kit to the exact valve family, nominal size, dimensional standard and elastomer. Similar pipe sizes from different standards should not be treated as interchangeable.
Pneumatic actuator spares
The referenced actuator kit includes O-rings and bearing components. Confirm the actuator model and action, such as normally closed, normally open or air-to-air. Do not assume every actuator uses the same kit merely because it is mounted on an LKB valve.
Symptoms to describe
Report product leakage, leakage around the stem, increased operating effort, incomplete travel or air leakage. Include whether the valve is operated manually or pneumatically. These observations help distinguish a valve-seal issue from actuator or air-supply trouble.
What to send DFT
Provide the valve identification, size and standard, body connection, seal material, actuator identification and process temperature. State the product and cleaning chemistry, quantity needed and maintenance window.
Service considerations
Select elastomers for the complete process and cleaning duty. Inspect the disc and seal-contact surfaces while the valve is open for service. Isolate the product line and pneumatic supply, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for actuators containing stored spring energy.
