Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger
Gasketed plate heat exchanger spares must match the installed plate pack. DFT can help coordinate identification of gaskets, replacement plates and complete plate packs against the equipment record.
Gasketed PHE service selection

| Pos. | Component | Selection notes |
|---|---|---|
| — | Channel-plate gaskets | Match profile, material and attachment method |
| — | End-position gaskets | Confirm the appropriate end-plate arrangement |
| — | Replacement plates | Match plate pattern, material and pack configuration |
| — | Complete plate pack | Confirm duty and existing arrangement |
| — | Frame and tightening components | Identify against the unit-specific assembly drawing |
Use the serial number and plate arrangement drawing to identify the correct plate pack. Diagram positions vary between heat exchanger models.

Gaskets
Match the gasket profile, attachment method and material specification to the installed unit. End positions can differ from channel positions; confirm the complete set from the equipment record before ordering.
Plates and plate packs
Replacement plates must preserve the intended pack configuration. Share the plate identification and arrangement drawing. A complete spare pack may be worth discussing where the maintenance window is short.
What to send DFT
Provide the model, serial number, nameplate details, plate count and available plate arrangement drawing. Include both fluids, temperatures, pressures and cleaning conditions. Describe whether the concern is external leakage, suspected cross-leakage or reduced performance.
Plan the maintenance scope
Discuss inspection and cleaning alongside replacement. Follow the unit-specific manual for opening, plate sequence and closing dimensions. Confirm the approved inspection and return-to-service procedure with the responsible engineering team.
