01
Identify the model and lubricant
- Record the nameplate and serial number. The guide includes OptiLobe, SRU, SX, SX UltraPure, OS Twin Screw, DuraCirc and DuraCirc Aseptic.
- Check whether the pump is supplied filled with oil or grease. Do not assume all positive displacement pumps use the same lubricant.
- Keep drive-unit maintenance aligned with the supplier instructions.
02
Make weekly checks part of the routine
- Inspect mechanical seals, lip seals and oil seals for leakage.
- Check pumping pressures. The reference recommends gauges on both sides to help identify pump or pipework problems.
- Check gearcase oil level with the pump stationary where applicable, and record observations for inspection planning.
03
Plan by operating hours and model
- Track operating hours so oil or grease changes are not missed between calendar-based services.
- Use the specific manual for lubricant type, quantity and maintenance procedure.
- The guide includes SCPP as a legacy model and states it is no longer manufactured; confirm support requirements before ordering.
Service planning at a glance
Reference intervals and checks from PDF pages 10–12. Verify against the instructions for your unit.
| Component / check | Reference timing | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| Service kit — all listed PD pumps | 12 months | Adapt to working conditions. |
| SRU / SX — oil | 3,000 operating hours | Use model-specific lubrication instructions. |
| OptiLobe — grease | 20,000 operating hours | This is a grease-change interval. |
| OS Twin Screw — oil | 4,000 operating hours | Use the exact pump manual. |
| DuraCirc — oil | 3,000 operating hours | Confirm configuration and duty. |
| SCPP — oil (legacy) | 750 operating hours | Legacy reference; confirm support. |
Operating-hour lubrication intervals do not replace the weekly leakage, pressure and oil-level checks.
