Tank Cleaning Machine

Match service intervals to the rotary jet head, cleaning medium and severity of use.

Alfa Laval reference
Alfa Laval Tank Cleaning Machine
01

Account for the actual cleaning duty

  • The reference covers Toftejorg and Gamajet rotary jet heads; do not apply their schedules automatically to every tank-cleaning device.
  • Heavy soiling and recirculated CIP liquid containing abrasives or particles require closer attention than light-duty cleaning.
  • Use the machine manual for strainer recommendations and for the exact inspection, minor-service and major-service kits.
02

Keep Toftejorg intervals model-specific

  • SaniJet 25 uses separate inspection, minor-service and major-service milestones. They are not interchangeable.
  • For SaniJet 20 Media, the reference distinguishes ordinary tap water / common CIP solvents from special media such as WFI.
  • Legacy TZ machines may require a conversion or replacement assessment. The source directs these questions to Alfa Laval.
03

Rinse, inspect and store Gamajet heads

  • Rinse with clean water after each use to remove residues that could harden or attack O-rings during storage.
  • Store with the inlet connection facing down, as described in the reference.
  • Inspect initially after 100 operating hours. Use the model-specific follow-on interval only if components are acceptable, accounting for severity of use.
  • Bearings, bushings, seals and O-rings are wear parts. The source recommends group replacement where possible; replace a worn bearing or seal and its mate together.
